Mr H decided to take a couple of days off work
Monday: Little Miss G opened yet more present and got treated to the local
Tuesday: Miss G sang 'Happy Birthday Dear Mamma' and then pretty much hijacked my day with a trip to see dinosaurs (National History Museum) and the lions (London Zoo). The first museum pleased Mr H a great deal, the zoo is always a hit with the little miss and I squeezed in a shopping and coffee break between the two whilst she napped in her buggy.
Thanks to one of Little Miss G's godmother we had some free babysitting and Mr H took me out for a lovely birthday dinner in the evening. Cheers to me!
Wednesday, Thursday and Friday were pretty much spent relaxing, playing with new birthday toys and receiving yet more birthday gifts,
On Saturday we all went to Frieze Art Fair, where Mr H and I were totally amused by Miss G's reaction to some pieces. It was either fascination and awe or open disgust. I now wish there was a toddlers Art Newspaper as it would surely be a great read.
Sunday was meant to be the day that we were going to take a bike ride to Regent's Park to admire the Frieze Art Fair Sculpture Garden and maybe take a boat trip down the river. A puncture on Mr H's bike meant that the plan was swiftly cancelled, so we had lunch in St John's Wood instead. I did find it quite funny that we left the restaurant with a kid covered in pancake stickers when the poor thing is actually allergic to eggs, perhaps it was some wishful thinking on her part.

ha ha at the sticker on her head! Burton loves covering himself (and me!) in stickers. some gorgeous photos of Miss G and it sounds like a wonderful week for exploring so many sights and wonders. i hope you had a lovely birthday too x x
ReplyDeletelove the chillaxing on the couch, and the cooking one. You need to tell the restaurant that eggless pancakes are both possible and tasty
ReplyDeleteLove these photos, even if I have seen some of them on Instagram already (and your feed btw is fab, love it!). The one of Miss G lying down on the sofa looking at the painting on the wall is great. The top left photo outside the circus is beautiful for the grittiness and splash of colour, although I'm really surprised they're allowed animals in it?
ReplyDeleteThanks for linking up
Happy birthday to you:) My birthday was Thursday which was celebrated (okay maybe not celebrated) at a meeting at school as the little man starts in March!!:)
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely day:)
The muddy foreground against the bright lights of the circus makes more a great photo even if the circus didn't live up to expectations
