Day 338 to day 344 of Project 366

This week was going to be all about the Sunday and all about the wedding of Little Miss G's godmother to her lucky man. With that in mind, I made sure to keep my little Miss away from the park, the cold weather and from most kids and bug-infestted places (soft-play centres, that is. Or is it just me?).

We pretty much spent Monday to Friday in our neighbourhood seeing a few friends and painting some Christmas decorations. Even our weekly trip to a London art gallery or museum was cancelled in a tactical attempt to avoid all illnesses and colds.

Come Saturday, the day before the wedding, I was dying to get out of NW3 we ventured out to central London to see Charley Bear at the theatre (we had bought tickets ages ago). Little Miss G was totally captivated by the show. Once in Covent Garden we couldn't resist a lazy lunch and a stroll through the shops, including the Disney one, where Mr H and G played a nice little prank on me, that freaked me out and actually made me scream before laugh. The day finished with Christmas drinks at friends' house and success in keeping all sort of colds and tummy bugs away! Yay!

On Sunday we were all excited to be part of a fantastic day and to witness the marriage of one of the most amazing and selfless girls we know. She is a beautiful girl, but on Sunday she was just stunning! She smiled from the first moment we saw her to when we said goodbye. No nerves, just sheer and contagious happiness!
I am also proud to report that Little Miss G did her princess bridesmaid duty without an itch (phew!). She looked beautiful and kept telling me that she was a princess and that her job was 'very important, mamma!'. What we did not expect was for her to romance and kiss the page boy, but, as they say, they surely grow up too fast...

Mr and Mrs S, we love you very much and wish you a lot of happiness together!
Thanks for having Little G as part of your special day xxx.

  1. She's so lovely in her white dress!!! She looks like a French petite bourgeoise from the 7th District of Paris ( Champs de Mars, Tour Eiffel). The bride is wonderful! And so you are ;)
